A Second Chance at Love

You might call us old school because our selection of romantic songs predates the 2000's, but who can deny the soulfulness of this song, Don't Know Much, But I Know I Love You, made popular by Linda Rondstadt and Aaron Neville in the late '80s. (Click on the You Tube video below.) It works for these boomers--the second time around.

Look at this face,
I know the years are showing,
Look at this life,
I still don't know where it's going.

Chorus:
I don't know much,
But I know I love you,
And that may be all I need to know.

Look at these eyes,
They never see what matters,
Look at these dreams,
So beaten and so battered.

Chorus:
I don't know much,
But I know I love you,
And that may be all I need to know.

So many questions still left unanswered,
So much I've never broken through,
And when I feel you near me,
Sometimes I see so clearly,
The only truth I've ever known,
Is me and you.

Look at this man,
So blessed with inspiration,
Look at this soul,
Still searching for salvation.

Chorus x3:
I don't know much,
But I know I love you,
And that may be all I need to know.

There is no predetermined set of rules for what makes you happy, for what moves you and what speaks to your soul. It simply is and it simply does whatever “it” is. It matters little what others think as it is your life and you must live it as you see fit. Each of us has a melody that transcends time and space that revs our soul’s symphony.

Enjoy your week
