A friend sent this quote to me today:
If we listened to our intellect, we'd never have a love affair. We'd never have a friendship. We'd never go into business, because we'd be too cynical. Well, that's nonsense. You've got to jump off cliffs all the time and build your wings on the way down. –Annie Dillard
(I will walk on this tomorrow.)

YaYa, "Wanderings and Ponderings" very interesting. I like it. I love that quote by Annie Dillard perhaps because life experiences have taught me that you do have to jump off cliffs and build your wings on the way down.
Many wonderful quotes come to mind, but heres one of my favorite:
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are we not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are meant to shine,as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we subconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."--From A Return To Love by Marianne Williamson (and Coach Carter)
Wow, two amazing quotes. Thanks Yaya and thanks Mimi.
I often wonder how incredible this planet would be if it were filled with secure, confident individuals following their passions.... instead of tuning into our fears, attacking others, and ignoring all we have to offer.
I agree, with almost all of the quote from Mimi, except I believe it is insecurity that prevents us from exploring our light. I realize there is a real fear of success, but I also feel most people really dont believe enough in themselves to expose all the light they have to offer.
That being said, I really enjoyed both quotes.
